Quality Assurance

The University of Crete is responsible for ensuring and continuously improving the quality of its educational and research work, as well as for the effective operation and performance of its services, in accordance with international practices, in particular those of the European Higher Education Area, and the principles and guidelines of the Hellenic Quality Assurance and Accreditation Agency (HQA).

To this end, the University’s Quality Assurance Unit (QAU) is responsible for the organization, operation and continuous improvement of the institution’s Internal Quality Assurance System (IQAS) so as to implement and coordinate the internal evaluation procedures of the academic and service departments, as well as supporting the external evaluation and accreditation procedures within the framework of the principles, directives and guidelines of the HQA.
