The act “Upgrading the Quality of the University of Crete for the effective and efficient operation – Support of the Quality Assurance Unit (MO.DI.P) of the University of Crete” was co-funded initiative by the Operational Programme “Human Resources Development, Education and Lifelong Learning” of the NSRF 2014–2020, was realized with institutional resources through the Special Account for Research Funds (ELKE).
The duration of the act was from 1.11.2021 to 31.10.2023, and was focused on the internal quality assurance processes of the University of Crete in order to ensure effective and efficient institutional operation and promote the quality assurance policy.
The Quality Assurance Unit (MO.DI.P) will co-operate with the Hellenic Authority for Higher Education (HAHE) to develop and implement an internal Quality Management Framework ensuring that

Dissemination and Communication of the Quality Assurance Unit (QAU-MODIP)
The act “Quality Assurance Unit of the University of Crete”, co-funded by the Operational Programme “Education and Lifelong Learning” of the NSRF 2007-2013, was implemented using the Institution’s own throught the Special Account for Research Funds.
The project, from September 1, 2019 to October 31, 2015, aimed to organize the Insitution’s QAU support service, develop and support the quality assurance systhem of the University of Crete regarding teaching, research, academic and administrative procedures. Its goal was the continuous improvement of the Institution’s work and its operation according to quality criteria in all areas. The project’s main deliverable was the developement of an Integrated Information System to support the Insitution’s quality assurance system.
The development of the OSS led to the standardization of the quality assurance procedures of the Institution with the possibility of continuous improvement, the recording and submission of the data of the Census Courses and Teachers in an online environment, the faster and automated use of the data resulting from the Census and the reliable management of the results according to the rules set by the Academic Departments in collaboration with the MODIP.
