Internal Quality Assurance System (IQAS)

The purpose of the Internal Quality Assurance System (IQAS) is to achieve high quality in the operation of the University of Crete and to continuously improve its educational and research output, as well as the effective functioning and performance of its services. This is in accordance with international practices, particularly those of the European Higher Education Area (EHEA), and the principles and guidelines of the Hellenic Authority for Higher Education (HAHE). Scope of the Internal Quality Assurance System (IQAS) The IQAS applies to:

  • Quality assurance in the academic units, administrative services, and human resources of the University of Crete;

  • The processes for the academic accreditation of the University’s Study Programs; and

  • The certification of the system itself.
